After a trial run to the hospital last weekend (including 30 hours of contractions), Treyton Jonathan arrived at 5:55 a.m. on July 26th. We're happy to introduce the 4th member of the team :) He weighed in at 9 pounds and was 22.5 inches long. How's that for 8 days early? He could have been 10 pounds and 23.5 inches by next week!
We went into the hospital at 3 a.m. and Treyton was born at 5:55. Nothing had changed between 3:00 and 5:00 and then everything changed fast! Treyton was born with the doctor still on her way to the hospital and the 'good drug' doctor no where to be seen yet. We had a nurse in to check on us in triage around 5:35 and we transferred rooms and had him within 20 minutes. We had the two of us with a couple nurses, a resident doctor and the first doctor they could find in the hall. We think the nurse told us he was a pediatrician making rounds. We don't even know his name yet, he was in and out so quickly!
He entered the world fast and has found his way to our hearts even faster!
